8th Annual Art & Soul’s Soul Searching Events

Presented by the Magic Valley Arts Council, with support from Plant Therapy, Magic Valley Mall, Premier Autogoup, My Place Hotel, Five Fish Press, KMVT, Iliad Media Group and Middlekauff Auto Group, the 8th Annual Art & Soul of the Magic Valley is the Northwest?s largest the public-voting contest and city-wide arts appreciation event.

Featuring over 300 artists, representing 15 states and two countries, Art & Soul will take place April 13-28. The event takes place April 13, 28 in 99 businesses and public spaces throughout Twin Falls.

Everyone 16 years and older is encouraged to register to vote in the contest. Voters determine the 30 winners to receive of $40,000 in prize money. There is no fee to register or to vote. Register Mondays through Saturdays, April 13-28, at the Twin Falls Center for the Arts.

CSI Stage Door presents:Sentences
CSI Fine Arts Auditorium, 7:30 pm.?While there is a lower class, I am in it, while there is a criminal element, I am of it, and while there is a soul in prison, I am not free. CSI theater instructor Shane Brown ventures into the Idaho State Penitentiary to teach creative writing workshops to inmates. Explore how the introduction of creativity and artistic expression will affect the lives of these men fettered by iron bars and the deeds of their pasts. The works the inmates create-poetry, scripts, memoirs, short stories-will be presented by local actors. Can beauty be found buried behind concrete and steel, veiled from the rest of society. Tickets are $10 for adults or $5 for CSI or high school and under students.
