MVAC presents Brown Bag Lecture Series: Growth and Innovation in the Magic Valley January 26 at Noon Twin Falls Center for the Arts’ Sligar Auditorium The Magic Valley Arts Council presents the Brown Bag Lecture Series season of Growth and Innovation in the Magic Valley. Sponsored in part by Dot Foods and Everton Mattress & Furniture Gallery, the series features 1-hour presentation by area innovators and contributors to the valley’s economic growth.  Bring your lunch or Order To Go from Elevation 486.

January 26: Preparing for New Industry in the Magic Valley – Brent J. Tolman, Regional Business Specialist, Idaho Department of Labor and Connie Stopher, Executive Director, Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization (SIEDO) present the components and complexity of bringing new business and industry to the valley.

February 23: Training the Valley’s Workforce – Brandi Turnipseed, Executive Director, Workforce Training Center, College of Southern Idaho

March  30: The Idaho Center for Livestock and Environmental Studies Impact on the Magic Valley – Rick Naerebout, Chief Executive Officer, Idaho Dairymen’s Association and Michael Parrella, Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Idaho. Focused on the Center for Agriculture Food and the Environment (CAFE), they will discuss the proposed research facility encompassing dairy, cropping systems and food production in the Magic Valley.
