If you have a passion for the arts, a drive to build community and the heart for non-profit work, serving on the Magic Valley Arts Council Board of Directors may be the right fit for you.

Our mission:? To foster and promote arts & cultural experiences for all people in the Greater Twin Falls area

The Magic Valley Arts Council has been working to foster and promote arts and cultural experiences for all people of the Greater Twin Falls area. Over the years, our organization has grown and evolved, while holding to that central mission.

The Magic Valley Arts Council’s Board of Directors provides organizational leadership and vision, maintains high ethical standards in accordance with our values, engages in effective planning to respond to the needs of area residents, and acts as wise stewards of our resources.
We are seeking qualified candidates to serve on our volunteer governing board.

  • Individuals who are willing and able to advocate for the arts, arts education, and cultural opportunities for all residents in the Magic Valley
  • Artists and arts patrons who have a demonstrated talent, joy and energy in chairing successful fundraising events and promotions
  • Individuals with previous nonprofit board experience

We have high expectations for our board members, who are required to:

  • Have a strongly held commitment to the arts in all their forms
  • Attend 12 evening board meetings and one Saturday retreat annually
  • Actively serve on and contribute to the outcomes of one of our standing committees: Executive, Finance & Fundraising, Membership, Nominating, and Programming
  • Advocate for the organizational needs of the Magic Valley Arts Council in the community and among colleagues and peers
  • Participate in and learn more about the arts in our community
  • Attend major Magic Valley Arts Council programs and events when possible
  • Make a personal, charitable contribution to the Magic Valley Arts council, to the best of their ability
