Creativity Class

Geat away from it all and enjoy an evening of artistic, creativity-building projects, designed to encourage self expression and build artistic confidence. All levels are welcome. Projects include drawing, painting, batik and collage.

Watercolor 2 Day Workshop, August 13th-14th 16 and 17 9 A. M.- 4 P .M.

Two adult sessions are available August 13 and 14 from 9 A .M. to 4 P. M.
Basic Watercolor techniques such as washes, textures, and color layering will be covered. You will produce a finished painting each day. The second day will be spent working with more advanced techniques built on the lessons of the first day, including still life, floral landscape painting and work with more use of mixed color and values.

The course is $125 for MVAC members and $145 for non-members. $75 for 1 day MVAC members and $95 for non-members. Material list provided. Beginner kits are available for purchase from instructor for $70. (kits contain 11 tubes of paint, water container, 4 brushes, a palette, and 2 full sheets of paper).

Capturing Nature

How to make a nature photograph become a nature experience. Learn how to see what is before you. The challenge is representing all five senses on a flat piece of paper or an electronic screen.
