Introducing our new addition to the Full Moon Gallery! Inspired: An Artist Lecture Series will give local artists a chance to talk about their process, their history, and their love for art. Stop by early to tour the gallery (many of the featured speakers will have work on display!) then settle in for an engaging peek behind the curtain into the life of a professional artist.
Our featured speaker in April is local watercolor artist Leslie Lambert.
Leslie (also known as Leslie Redhead) is an award-winning artist, teacher, illustrator, and author known for her dramatic watercolors. Her art focuses on the combination of spontaneity and detail that watercolor has to offer. She continues to explore the possibilities and pushes the medium beyond its limitations to achieve luminous and incredible results.
Leslie’s paintings are in private and corporate collections worldwide. She has a Master of Education in Art Education and holds signatures with Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS) and the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour (CSPWC). Leslie teaches painting and drawing at the University of Victoria in Victoria, BC and conducts workshops in Canada, the U.S., and Spain.
Leslie has five works on display in the Gallery – be sure to come early to take a tour of the gallery and absorb her pieces, prior to settling in for her lecture Your Brain on Art: The Neurological & Psychological Effects of Creating Art.
Whether you’re a seasoned art enthusiast or just curious about what makes artists tick, make a plan to head to the Full Moon Gallery on April 23!
