Second Saturday at the Full Moon Gallery presents Printmaking Basics: Block Printed Ornaments

Join us for a hands-on holiday workshop where you’ll learn the timeless art of block printing to create two unique, custom ornaments! In this two-hour class, you’ll be guided through the basics of carving linoleum, transferring designs, inking, and printing, with a special focus on creating seasonal decor. Craft a charming folding ornament box—perfect for a small treat or gift—and an origami-style 7-pointed star.

We’ll cover essential techniques, from safe tool handling and cutting methods to printing using a press or a simple wooden spoon. Each participant will take home folding and assembly instructions for their ornaments, as prints will require a minimum of one week to dry.

All materials are provided by the Magic Valley Arts Council, and no experience is necessary! Perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to create one-of-a-kind holiday keepsakes.
