DESCRIPTION:Applications will be opening soon for ‘Magic Moments’\nApplication March 3 – June 1\, 2026\nShow dates are July 10 – August 28\, 2026\nAre you a member of the Magic Valley Arts Council? If so\, or if you plan to join\, this is the gallery exhibit opportunity for you! \nMagic Moments is our annual celebration of member talent. This is a non-themed\, non-juried show that seeks to display\, amplify\, and celebrate the many talents and skills of our membership. SUMMARY:AUDITIONS - Come From Away
DESCRIPTION:The Twin Falls Theatre Collective is pleased to announce open auditions for their fall show\, Come From Away. Auditions are May 8 – 11\, interested participants should complete the audition form found here: https://twinfallstheatre.com/audition/come-from-away/ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAudition Dates\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMay 8\, 2026 from 6-9pm\nMay 9\, 2026 from 4-7pm\nMay 11\, 2026 from 7-9pm (CALLBACKS ONLY IF NEEDED)\n\n\n\nAs long as you check in prior to the end time\, you will be allowed to audition. In-person auditions are located at Twin Falls Theatre Collective. 310 Main St\, Filer\, ID 83328. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRehearsals beginning July 13th\, 2026. Rehearsals will run Mon-Thurs from 7-10pm. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPerformance Dates \nSeptember 11\, 12\, 14\, 17\, 18\, 19\, 21\, 24\, 25\, & 26 at 7:00 pm\nSeptember 13\, 19\, 20\, & 27 at 2:00 pm \n  \n\n\nAudition Requirements\n\n\nThe audition will consist of the following: \n\nMonologues\nMusic\nCold read\nChoreography\n\nActors will have a 10-minute audition time. Auditions will be first come\, first served and you will sign in at the audition and be seen in the order of sign in. Headshots are highly recommended for your audition application. Resumes are optional but are also great if you have one. \nThe cast size is 12. We will not expand the cast\, so each actor will be playing multiple roles.  \n\n\nReading: Please prepare 2 contrasting monologues of roughly 1 minute in length each. In addition\, actors will be asked to cold read from the script. You will also be asked to read with an accent. Please review the pronunciation guide and be prepared to use it in your monologue OR in the cold read. \nMusical Information: Prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show (about 90-120 seconds). You can bring a track or an accompanist. There is a piano is available. The director has no preference on whether you prepare a song from the show or something in the style of the show. \nChoreography: The choreography videos for auditions are linked here: video 1\,  video 2. Please be prepared to dance in small groups about every 30 minutes. Based on when you sign in you may dance before your audition\, or you may need to wait until the next small group is ready to do the dance portion of your audition. The music starts at about 2:35 of the ‘Finale’ on the soundtrack. \n\nVideo Auditions: Video auditions are allowed for this audition. They are due by 4pm on May 9th\, 2026. If you’re submitting a video audition\, please have your video on Youtube\, Google Drive\, or similar\, with public access set\, PRIOR to starting your audition application. The application asks for the link and is required if you select a video audition. \n  \n\n\nCharacter Breakdown\n\nClaude (& others) — The gregarious and well-liked Mayor of Gander\, Newfoundland\, Claude loves his work\, the townspeople and his daily traditions\, but he’s never had to deal with a crisis of this magnitude before. Also plays Derm and Brenda’s Brother\, Eddie. Gender: male Age: 40 to 60 Vocal range top: G4 \nBonnie (& others) — A no-nonsense mother of three\, Bonnie is the head of the Gander area SPCA. When she discovers animals are trapped on the planes\, she stops at nothing to ensure their safety – but in frustration\, she often lashes out at those around her. Also plays Martha. Gender: female Age: 30 to 40 Vocal range top: B4 \nBeulah (& others) — The head of the Gander Legion\, with a firefighter son\, who walks Hannah to her church and prays with her. Also plays Delores. Gender: female Age: 40 to 60 \nOz (& others) ALREADY CAST — The quirky constable in the two-person Gander police force. When the town’s population suddenly doubles\, Oz helps out in unexpected ways. Also plays Joey\, Customs Officer\, Mr. Michaels\, Terry\, Matty\, Rabbi\, and Head Cardiologist. Gender: male Age: 30 to 50 Vocal range top: G4 \nJanice (& others) —An eager new local TV reporter\, Janice is thrown into the deep end on her first day. Initially naïve about the world\, Janice must face the pain and confusion around her. Also plays Britney and Flight Attendant. Gender: female Age: 20 to 30 Vocal range top: E5 \nBeverly/Annette (& others) — Beverely: The first female captain for American Airlines Pilot\, Beverly Bass has always loved flying\, when her world suddenly changes. Annette: A schoolteacher at Gander Academy with an active fantasy life. Also plays Reporter. Gender: female Age: 50 to 60 Vocal range top: C#5 \nDiane (& others) — A traditional divorcee from Texas\, who is terrified that her son may have been flying at the time of the attacks. When she finds out that he’s safe\, she’s given a new lease on life and discovers a wilder more carefree side of herself. Also plays Crystal and Brenda. Gender: female Age: 50 to 60 Vocal range top: C#5 Vocal range bottom: A3 \nNick/Dough (& others) — Nick: An English oil engineer who is focused on his work\, Nick’s life is turned upside down when he falls for Diane. Doug: An Air Traffic Controller\, married to Bonnie\, who tries to help his wife and the animals. Also plays Officer Stephenson\, and Male Townsperson. Gender: male Age: 50 to 60 Vocal range top: E4 \nKevin T/Garth (& others) — Kevin T: The head of an environmental energy company in Los Angeles\, Kevin was on vacation with his boyfriend (and secretary\, also named Kevin)\, when they are stranded in Gander. Inspired by the town’s generosity\, Kevin creates the Pay It Forward Foundation. Garth: The head of the local union\, representing the Bus Drivers. Also plays President Bush. Gender: male Age: 30 to 50 Vocal range top: G4 \nKevin J/Ali (& others) — Kevin J: Kevin’s boyfriend and secretary. Sarcastic and unhappy\, he wants to leave as soon as possible. Ali: An Egyptian man traveling to America who experiences isolation and Islamophobia but who finds a connection to Beulah. Also plays Dwight. Gender: male Age: 30 to 50 \nHannah (& others) — The mother of a firefighter in Manhattan\, Hannah waits for news about her son and is comforted by Beulah. Also plays Margie and Mickey. Gender: female Age: 40 to 60 Vocal range top: E5 \nBob (& others) — A hardened New Yorker\, Bob is suspicious of where he’s landed\, fearing that it’s World War 3\, that someone is going to shoot him and steal his wallet – but instead\, he ends up losing his New York jadedness. DESCRIPTION:What:  2nd Tuesday painting session \nWhen:  Tuesday\, May 12 \nWhere:  Twin Falls Center for the Arts \nWhat time:  10:00 a.m. until 1:00 or so \nWhat to bring: Painting supplies and a painting friend \nWho can come:  We welcome all painters to join us.  Paint in whatever medium you like to use\, and bring what you are working on. \nDirections:  Twin Falls Center for the Arts – MVAC classroom on the second floor. \n  \n\n\n\nAbstract Concepts!  (Julie and Brandy are going to lead you through this session!  Thanks to you both!!)\nSay “YES”\, if you are interested in trying something that will stretch your creativity/ imagination …  \n\n\nCome to the 2nd Tuesday session with the paints/brushes\, pens\, and pencils that you like to use! \nJulie will walk you through the process and has already made up some starter pages for you to work on by adding marks\, with paint\, ink\, pens\, pencil…..bring a variety of mark making tools!\nThis is an abstract concept\, that forces you to look what might be/ what you can see in the start of what’s on the paper\nAnd as always\, you are welcome to join in or work on whatever artwork you want to work on!\n\n\n\n\nTips:  \n\nRoadtrip: Sawtooth Botanical Gardens\nThey have an amazing crop of daffodils this year!  \nDo stop in at Gardens when you are in the Ketchum area.  \nWander through and spin the prayer wheel.  Paint a flower.  It is worth the stop.  \n\n🌻Also\, SBG sponsors free “Wildflower Walks” every Thursday from May 7-July 9 (no walk on May 14). 9:00 – 2:00 or so…\nThese are low impact walks in the area.  \nYou will learn a lot\, and the group is very knowledgeable and welcoming to new flower and plant lovers. \nCheck out SBG activities here:\nhttps://www.sbgarden.org/events\n\n\n\nCSI Art Classes:  \nI encourage you to check out CSI classes for the Fall.  Stop in at the Taylor building or go to the CSI website. \n\n\nFree full semester classes!!! to those over 60ish…not sure of the exact age.\nAudit to take away the pressure of doing every project…although it is hard not to do it all\nEnjoy doing something new!  Calligraphy\, Photography\, Printmaking\, Book-making\, Painting\, Figure Drawing\, Art History\, ….there are a lot of great classes to choose from!\n\n\n \n😳I had hoped to be at the May 2nd Tuesday session\, but we are having our floors refinished and have to be out of our house for that week.\nSo\, We will be off painting and fishing elsewhere during the mess!!  (Need the rest after moving everything out of the way!)\n \n❤️Thanks to the artists who have stepped in for me this year while I have been in class!  Betsy\, Michelle\, Julie\, and Brandy! \n\n\n\nAnd finally:  Now it is time for our usual summer break.  \nI hope to see all of you in September\, so watch for our starter session newsletter in September!\n\nHave a great painting summer!

His music has taken him from Florida to Alaska with an extended stay in Austin\, Texas where he honed his vocal and guitar styles in bluegrass\, country\, and western swing traditions. He has recorded 3 albums of original songs and a fourth is in the making. \nFellow guitarist\, Steve Prager\, will be joining Rob for this concert.  Steve spent decades touring America\, playing with the elite Air Force and Army bands
