DESCRIPTION:Applications will be opening soon for ‘Magic Moments’\nApplication March 3 – June 1\, 2026\nShow dates are July 10 – August 28\, 2026\nAre you a member of the Magic Valley Arts Council? If so\, or if you plan to join\, this is the gallery exhibit opportunity for you! \nMagic Moments is our annual celebration of member talent. This is a non-themed\, non-juried show that seeks to display\, amplify\, and celebrate the many talents and skills of our membership. Any medium\, any style\, any subject (as long as it is appropriate for public display)\, we want it all! \nAs a special treat to our members\, the install fee is WAIVED for this exhibition. \nComplete your application here: FMG Application Form \n\n\nApplication Information:\n\n\n\n\n\nApplication Window: March 3 – June 1\, 2026\nAll 2D and 3D artists are encouraged to apply.\nEach application may include up to 10 works\, and you may apply up to 3 times for a total of 30 works submitted to the exhibit.\nWorks are reviewed by a Jury Committee\, and all artists selected will be notified in writing on or before June 11\, 2026\n\n\n\n\n\nImportant Dates:\n\n\n\n\n\nShow Dates – July 10 – August 28\, 2026\nApplications Open – March 3 – June 1\, 2026\nArtist Acceptance Notification – on or before June 11\, 2026\nInstallation Fees due – July 7\, 2026\nArtwork Delivery – July 7 from 11am – 5pm\nPublic Open House / Artist Reception – July 10 from  5-7pm\n\n\n\n\n\nFees:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nApplication: $20 per 10 works submitted. Twin Falls\, IDAGE/EXPERIENCE LEVEL: adult; 16+ w/parent/guardian; beginner to intermediateCOST: $175 + $20 material fee (MMW uses Bullseye\, Oceanside\, Wissmach etc. glass and Leponitt nippers;) 13 hours total; 10% off for teachers!\nDESCRIPTION: this beginner workshop covers the basics of glass mosaic: history\, terminology\, styles\, techniques\, design\, material choice\, tools\, cutting\, nipping and shaping glass\, jointing\, gluing and grouting etc. It also includes demonstrations by James\, a TON of individual instruction and a great project designed and created by you! He has taught thousands of adults and kids from around the globe since then and has been the Artist in Residence at Christine Donnell School for the Arts\, ANSER Charter\, Whittier and Longfellow schools in Boise. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED – email HAFO_Information@nps.gov to RSVP.\n\nHagerman Fossil Beds National Monument invites members of the public to learn more about the history of horses and Chinese communities in Idaho by participating in special programs that the Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument will host and by visiting the park in 2026\, which is the “Year of the Fire Horse” in the zodiac calendar used in many Asian cultures!\n\n\nThe Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument\, located between Boise and Twin Falls\, preserves hundreds of species of three- to four-million-year-old plant and animal fossils\, including the world’s largest assemblage of “Hagerman Horse” (Equus simplicidens) fossils. While the Hagerman Horse is native to North America\, the genus Equus spread to Asia\, and fossils similar to the Hagerman Horse have been found in China. Historic remnants of Chinese communities centered around gold mining and railroad industry work in the 1800s are still present in the area near the park.\n\n\nThe Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument will host one special in-person or virtual Year of the Fire Horse program each month\, from February through September. A program schedule and additional details are available on the park website and below. Members of the public are also encouraged to visit the park\, which is still an active site where paleontologists continue to conduct research and discover new fossils.
