Whether you feel like a quiet blend of blues or a joyful splash of gold\, this class invites you to create a “self-portrait” that tells your story through color. \nDesigned for beginners\, this two-hour session introduces basic watercolor techniques including washes\, blending\, and color mixing. You’ll be guided through a series of fun\, expressive exercises before creating your final piece: an abstract or semi-abstract color composition that captures your mood\, energy\, or essence. \nThis class is perfect for anyone who wants to explore watercolor without pressure — and connect with their creative voice in a fresh\, personal way. \nAll levels welcome — no prior painting experience needed. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, September 13 \n10:00 a.m. – Noon (we will stop accepting walk-ins at 11:30am if classes are full) \nMagic Valley Arts Council – Ground Floor \nCost:  FREE for ages 18 and under \nJoin us for an exciting Second Saturday youth workshop! Kids 18 and under can join in to create unique self portraits with two different instructors. Mixed media such as paper\, markers\, crayons\, and even BALLOONS will be used to create the masterpieces! \nParents\, bring your little ones out for a morning of creativity—no registration required! Drop-ins are welcome until 11:30 AM. If the workshop is full when you arrive\, we may ask you to explore the gallery upstairs while waiting 10-15 minutes for a spot to open up. Come join the fun and make your own self portrait! \nAttendance is no charge\, but we request that you RSVP online below or by calling 208-734-ARTS (2787) so we have an idea of how many kids to plan for.
