DESCRIPTION:Intro to Portraiture: Graphite Portraits \nwith Jude Metzler \nThursdays\, November 6 – December 4 | 6pm – 8pm \n$65 / MVAC Members \n$80 / Non-Members (membership begins at on $25/year! Click here to join or renew your membership and save.) \nRegister online below\, or call 208-734-ARTS (2787) to sign up! \n  \nIntro to Portraiture will teach the elements of creating a portrait. Here you will learn how to draw eyes\, noses\, and mouths from different angles. In the end\, combining all of those elements to create a portrait. After this class\, students will be able to take away an understanding of facial structure\, light value\, and how to draw from reference.  \nWe’ll cover specific techniques for: \n\nlight direction and source\nshading and blending\ncreating values in black and white\n\nWhether you’ve drawn portraits before or you are completely intimidated by the prospect\, this is the class for you! Jude will break down the process into simple steps that can be applied to any portrait. \nOpen to all levels\, ages 14 and up.
