Click here to join or renew your membership and save.) \n  \nSend a little joy this season — handmade by you! \nIn this festive and beginner-friendly watercolor workshop\, you’ll create beautiful\, one-of-a-kind holiday cards. You’ll learn simple watercolor techniques to bring your cards to life with color and charm. \nNo drawing or painting experience? No problem! You’ll be guided step-by-step through a couple of designs\, with plenty of time to experiment and personalize your cards. This class is about creativity\, connection\, and having fun with paint — not perfection. \nBy the end\, you’ll walk away with a couple of heartfelt cards ready to send or frame — and maybe a little more holiday spirit\, too. \nAll materials provided Just bring your curiosity and a little holiday cheer! \nRegister online below\, or call 208-734-ARTS (2787)  \n  \nAbout the Instructor\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLeslie Lambert (also known as Leslie Redhead) is an award-winning artist\, teacher\, illustrator\, and author known for her dramatic watercolors. Her art focuses on the combination of spontaneity and detail that watercolor has to offer. She continues to explore the possibilities and pushes the medium beyond its limitations to achieve luminous and incredible results. \nLeslie’s paintings are in private and corporate collections worldwide. She has a Master of Education in Art Education and holds signatures with Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS) and the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour (CSPWC). Leslie teaches painting and drawing at the University of Victoria in Victoria\, BC and conducts workshops in Canada\, the U.S.\, and Spain. She currently resides near Spokane\, WA. \nHer work is featured in Splash 10: Passionate Brushstrokes from the Splash: Best of Watercolor series\, Leslie Redhead: the life of an artist\, and Making It! Case Studies of Successful Canadian Artists. She is the author of Watercolor 365 and illustrator the children’s book\, Island in the Salish Sea by Sheryl McFarlane. Leslie is represented by Horizon Fine Art in Jackson Hole\, Wyoming\, Trail’s End Gallery in Chewelah\, Washington\, and the Kube Gallery in Fort Langley\, BC.

What better way to do that\, than by printing the card yourself? \nJoin us for a hands-on holiday workshop where you’ll learn the timeless art of block printing to create custom hand-printed greeting card! In this two-hour class\, you’ll be guided through the basics of carving soft rubber block\, transferring designs\, inking\, and printing\, with a special focus on creating a beautiful block print design. You will take your carved and finished block home\, along with a finished card or two! \nAll materials are provided by the Magic Valley Arts Council\, and no experience is necessary!
