Using bold color and bright hues\, you will learn how to capture texture and details of fur\, facial expressions\, and characteristic shapes. Perfect for beginners and intermediate painters alike\, this session will guide you through color mixing\, wet-in-wet techniques to create a whimsical colorful cow painting that pops with character. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, January 11 \n10:00 a.m. – Noon (we will stop accepting walk-ins at 11:30am if classes are full) \nMagic Valley Arts Council – Ground Floor \nCost:  FREE for ages 18 and under \nBring your littles out for a fun drop-in art class for kids on Saturday\, January 11th! As part of our Second Saturday at the Gallery event\, we will be hosting a FREE drop-in art class for kids with a fun Western theme\, to go with the Full Moon Gallery show Sagebrush & Lariats: The Western Spirit which will be on display. Dive into the Wild West as we explore the art of paper crafting and collage to create your own saloons\, desert landscapes\, or wild west critters! All materials are provided – just bring your imagination and a sense of adventure! \nAttendance is no charge\, but we request that you RSVP online below or by calling 208-734-ARTS (2787) so we have an idea of how many kids to plan for. \n  \nNote: this is a first come\, first serve event. As students finish the projects\, we will be able to accommodate more kids. Please be patient\, and be prepared for a fun time! If the workshop is full when you arrive\, you may tour the gallery and see the new show while you wait for a space to open up.
