DESCRIPTION:Applications are open now for ‘From Music’\nApplication Window October 14 – January 5\, 2026\nShow dates are February 13 – April 3\, 2026\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Full Moon Gallery is now accepting submissions for our next show From Music\, a community art exhibition focused on the ways music inspires creativity. \nWe’re looking for pieces that are influenced by music in any form. That could mean artwork made with or from sheet music\, pieces inspired by a favorite song or lyric\, or event abstract works that reflect the feeling or rhythm of music. If your art connects to music in some way\, we want to see it. \nWhether you’re working in paint\, collage\, sculpture\, fiber\, or any other medium\, this is a chance to share how music shows up in your creative process. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFMG Application Form\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nApplication Information:\n\n\n\n\n\nApplication Window: October 14 – January 5\, 2026\nAll 2D and 3D artists are encouraged to apply.\nEach application may include up to 10 works\, and you may apply up to 3 times for a total of 30 works submitted to the exhibit.\nWorks are reviewed by a Jury Committee\, and all artists selected will be notified in writing on or before January 13\, 2026\n\n\n\n\n\nImportant Dates:\n\n\n\n\n\nShow Dates – February 13 – April 3\, 2026\nApplications Open – October 14 – January 5\, 2026\nArtist Acceptance Notification – on or before January 13\, 2026\nInstallation Fees due – February 10\, 2026\nArtwork Delivery – February 10\, 2026 from 11am – 5pm\nPublic Open House / Artist Reception – February 13\, 2025 from  5-7pm\n\n\n\n\n\nFees:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nApplication: $20 per 10 works submitted. You may apply up to 3 times per exhibition\, for a total of 30 works submitted per show.\nInstallation: $40 for MVAC Members\, $48 for Not-Yet-Members (yearly MVAC membership begins at $25 – click here for more info) per 10 works accepted.\n25% MVAC Commission on any works sold during the show.\n\n\nAll artwork will need to installation ready – framed (if applicable) with a suitable hanger on the back\, gallery wrapped canvas with finished edge\, etc. MVAC and all employees does not assume any liability for lost\, stolen\, or damaged artwork while on display. All artists are strongly recommended to carry liability insurance.

Suitable for ages 14 and up.  \nClass size is limited for the best experience\, sign up early to save your spot!  \nRegister online below\, call MVAC at 208-734-ARTS (2787)\, or stop in to sign up. \n  \nSecond Saturday at the Full Moon Gallery presents Daily Sketchbooks: Holiday Sketchbook Pages with Connie Pepper \nThis hands-on workshop will get you started in a “Sketchbook Practice”. Sketchbooks can be used to record your art journey and tell your unique story. You will learn how to use your sketchbook as a visual journal of your daily experiences using illustrations and words. Sketchbooks are a great way to record travel. In this workshop\, you will learn how to set up attractive pages using drawings\, paintings\, pictures\, lettering\, stamps\, stencils\, stickers\, maps\, and more. \nAs a theme for this workshop\, we will focus on icons of the holiday seasons. We will be using references common to the holidays to design pages that tell your unique story. You are welcome to use another theme if you choose. It is your story to tell! \nWhat you need to bring: \n· A Sketchbook with watercolor paper – 140 pound paper for the best results \n· Small watercolor set (MVAC has watercolors sets you can use if needed) \n· Brushes (MVAC also has brushes if needed) \n· Holiday references for drawings: pictures\, magazine pages\, objects\, etc. \n· Saved objects that you want to glue to your sketchbook pages: tickets\, brochures\, cutouts\, magazine pages\, maps\, etc. \n  \nAll materials provided **OTHER THAN SKETCHBOOK** \nNo experience necessary — beginners welcome! \n  \nRefund Policy: all ticket\, table\, or seat purchases are NON REFUNDABLE from date of purchase.

SUMMARY:2nd Saturday Art Class YOUTH | Winter Perspectives
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, December 13 \n10:00 a.m. – Noon (we will stop accepting walk-ins at 11:30am if classes are full) \nMagic Valley Arts Council – Ground Floor \nCost:  FREE for ages 18 and under \nJoin us for a creative Second Saturday youth workshop! Kids 18 and under can join in to create two projects that celebrate the festive season and the cold weather. Students will learn the art of collage and assemblage\, and how to create perspective in artworks with a fun birds-eye portrait of a snowman. \nParents\, bring your little ones out for a morning of creativity—no registration required! Drop-ins are welcome until 11:30 AM. If the workshop is full when you arrive\, we may ask you to explore the gallery upstairs while waiting 10-15 minutes for a spot to open up. \nAttendance is no charge\, but we request that you RSVP online below or by calling 208-734-ARTS (2787) so we have an idea of how many kids to plan for. \n
