2nd Tuesday Watercolor Class – IWS

What:  2^nd Tuesday painting session

When:  Tuesday, September 10

Where:  Twin Falls Center for the Arts

What time:  10:00 a.m. until 2:00 or so

What to bring:  Painting supplies and a painting friend.

Who can come:  We welcome all painters to join us.  Paint in whatever medium you like to use.

Directions:  Twin Falls Center for the Arts – MVAC classroom on the second floor.

What will we do:

To start us off: What have you been working on?

Please bring along a sample of your work – no matter where you are in the progress – please share with the group.  We all love to see your direction in your art journey.

Jenny has already volunteered to share her latest “easy card making” activities!  (Thanks Jenny!)

Tried a new medium, idea, craft, or ?  Please share.  We all learn from each other.

I will share bits of information from a workshop I am presenting in Sept. for Idaho Watercolor Society.

• Sketch-Booking – How to create artwork using a sketchbook outside, in a crowd, or in your home art studio, corner, or on the kitchen table.
• Sketch-Noting – How to make “visual notes” to clarify, and organize information in a workshop, lecture, or any setting you want to record.
• Urban Sketching -Urban Sketchers – a global community of sketchers dedicated to the practice of on-location drawing.  (We have a local group of Plein Air Painters – similar goals – Dianne Nevarez is the local rep)
• Tools for success – 
  • How to simplify working outside.
  • How to make use of sketchbooks in other ways
  • Examples of favorite sketchbooks, painting tools, etc.

What to bring:

• If you work in sketchbooks, please bring along to show us how you use your sketchbook.
  • We would love see what you are doing to inspire the rest of us
• AND…Bring along whatever else you want to work on, and the materials you need to do the work.
• A painting friend who might enjoy our group is always welcome
