Twin Falls native, Gustavo Alonso Lopez, a North American flamenco guitarist and composer from Walla Walla, Washington will be playing on September 8th at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship 160 9th Ave. East.  Concert starts at 7:00 doors open at 6:30.  There is a suggested donation of $15.

Gustavo received a Fulbright Fellowship to Spain in 2017 where he trained with top guitarists and created and still creates his own music borrowing concepts from classical music and jazz, blurring the lines between composition and improvisation.  He has released two albums the second of which included an international team of collaborators from the United Staes, Italy and Spain.  As well, he has been the recipient of two composer-in-residence grants.

His formal education is in architecture, the knowledge of which he brings into a cross-disciplinary path that coalesces around music
