2nd Tuesday Watercolor Class – IWS

What:  2nd Tuesday painting session

When:  Tuesday, October 14

Where:  Twin Falls Center for the Arts

What time:  10:00 a.m. until 1:00 or so

What to bring: Painting supplies and a painting friend.

Who can come:  We welcome all painters to join us.  Paint in whatever medium you like to use, and bring what you are working on.

Directions:  Twin Falls Center for the Arts – MVAC classroom on the second floor.

 

Inktober!
There is a wonderful opportunity to do a daily painting in October.

They provide a daily prompt that you can follow for a quick sketch every day.  
It is a fun way to make a daily drawing practice happen.
Get started and bring along your collection of drawing to share what you have done so far.
What we will do: Let’s Experiment with Ink
1.   What kind of ink or pens
  • Black ink or colored inks
  • Alcohol ink
  • Ballpoint Ink pens
  • Brush Pens
  • Other – you tell me!
2.  What can you do with ink?
  • Paint with ink
  • Draw with ink
  • Experiment with acrylic inks
  • Try out alcohol ink
  • Endless possibilities…
 
What to Bring:
  • Ink:  In you have ink of any kind, bring it. (No worries if you don’t have it – we will have ink for you to use.)
  • Paper Options to use with ink:  
    • A sketchbook with watercolor paper, 
    • or plain sheets of watercolor paper (140lb)
    • Colored paper 
    • Or Multimedia art paper 
    • Card stock
    • Yup paper
    • Other…experiment with what you have…
 
Who can come:
We welcome all painters to join us.  Paint in whatever medium you like to use, and help our group grow by inviting a painting friend.

We were planning on doing gold leaf in the October session, but Linda had a conflict so we have moved that session to November!

Idaho Watercolor Society:  It is a good time to sign up for a membership in Idaho Watercolor Society.
