2nd Tuesday Watercolor Class – IWS

What:  2^nd Tuesday painting session

When:  Tuesday, November 12, 2024

Where:  Twin Falls Center for the Arts

What time:  10:00 a.m. until 2:00 or so

What to bring:  Painting supplies and a painting friend.

Who can come:  We welcome all painters to join us.  Paint in whatever medium you like to use.

Directions:  Twin Falls Center for the Arts – MVAC classroom on the second floor.

What will we do: Let’s Paint a TURKEY.

In all these years of painting together in November, I don’t remember ever painting a TURKEY!

So!  Let’s do it!  Let’s celebrate the “turkey”!

HOW?:  Use whatever medium your want:  Paint, collage, print, fold paper, (surprise us!)

• Bring along reference materials to use in your painting
  • Here are a couple of photo sites with “free use”  options for pictures of animals including turkeys https://pixabay.com/  and https://www.pexels.com/.
• Worried about drawing a turkey and getting it “right”?
  • • First, don’t stress over the drawing!

    • It is ok to do a tracing from your photo or a free use photo!
    • It is ok to do a cartoon turkey!
    • It is ok if your drawing is a bit off or wonky!  It is your drawing, Paint it!
• These turkeys can be:
  • realistic, cartoon, wild turkey, domestic turkey, a Thanksgiving turkey, a sculpture…the possibilities goes as far as your imagination!
• Bring the materials you need to put together a piece of turkey art – whatever medium you love!

ALSO:  Color Palette Art

Remember last month:  If you have a “limited color palette” piece you worked on last month, please bring it along to share.  We would love to see what you did with the fall color palettes!

And, as always, If you want to do something other than painting turkeys, no problem!  Come join in the fun and paint whatever you want.
