Join local artist Alex Hartwig for a deep dive into beginning acrylic painting! He will assist students as they learn how to map out a painting, glaze it, and apply paint washes to develop the work. This is a process class, so instead of following along step-by-step and all leaving with the same art piece, students will learn the theory and process behind acrylic painting to create a custom masterpiece. Students are encouraged to bring an in-progress canvas if they have one (if not, all supplies are provided), or any other reference material for the art piece they would like to create (photos, drawings, etc).
Alex Hartwig is a teaching and working artist located in Idaho. He has been creating art for over 20 years, working primarily in paint. Lately he has been focusing on mixed media and visual journaling.
All supplies included. No experience necessary – beginners welcome!
