Students will paint a pop art inspired painting from reference, brought or provided, experimenting with color blocking, texture and different painting techniques. Students will learn tools to simplify a reference and render an image in paint. Please bring a reference image of a flat black and white image or illustration to recreate (comic book, magazine, printout from Pinterest, etc.) Other reference material will be available at class.

 

Jake Petruzzelli is a designer and artist working cross-media to navigate and express himself while adding a little more color to the world.

All supplies included. No experience necessary – beginners welcome!
