Second Saturday at the Full Moon Gallery presents Exploring Ink: Doodles & Inky Landscapes with Connie Pepper!
Water-soluble Ink vs. Permanent Ink
Using ink, a dip pen (or artist ink pens), and smooth watercolor paper, we will practice with ink doodles and then create a small ink landscape. We will learn the different between permanent ink and water-soluble ink and the best way to use both. Students will have an opportunity to experiment with colored inks and acrylic inks.
In this class, students will learn a simple, three-step process to make your own pen and ink doodles and creative landscapes.
- We will do quick warm-ups where you learn how to achieve tonal values with ink drawings and ink wash in your doodles and landscapes.
- Then we will do one-minute doodles where we quickly learn the power of drawing quickly with dip pens and water or artist ink pens.
- We will view a quick video to guide us through painting a landscape using ink.
All materials provided, no experience necessary — beginners welcome!
